From Malpensa Airport
By Car
Take the A9 motorway that connects you to Como – Chiasso – Switzerland and exit at ‘Lago di Como’ which is the last exit before Chiasso (CH). As you leave Malpensa T2 get on SS336. Follow the SS336, A36 and A9/E35 and take exit Lago di Como,
By Train
Head For Saronno and then change for either Como San Giovanni or Como Lago (about 4 km away from the property).
From MIlan Linate
By Car
Get on A51 in Milano from Viale Enrico Forlanin. Continue on A51. Take A52, SP35 and A9/E35 to Via Bellinzona in Como. Take exit for Como Lago.
By Train
Take the express shuttle bus or subway to Milano Centrale, then switch to a direct train to Como. The entire journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours.
By Bus
There is a Flixbus from Malpensa which takes just under an hour and goes to Como San Giovanni station about 10 times a day – check schedules to help coordinate with flight times.
From Bergamo – Orio as Serio
By Train & Bus
Take the airport bus (e.g., ATB Airport Bus) from Orio al Serio to the Bergamo Train Station (15 minutes), then take a Trenord train to Milano Centrale (approx. 1 hour).
Switch to a EuroCity or regional train to Como S. Giovanni station (approx. 40 minutes).
From Como S. Giovanni, take a Taxi (travel time 7 minutes) or local ASF Autolinee bus C10 to Cernobbio and stop at Tavernola Ferry.
By Car
The most direct drive is via the A4 and A9/E35 motorways towards Como, exiting at Como Centro, followed by local roads to Cernobbio – about1 hour and 20 minutes depending on traffic especially around Milan.
Getting Around
By Car: The A9 motorway that connects you to Milan or Switzerland (Chiasso) is 5 minutes away – Jubction ‘Lago di Como”.
By Train: Como San Giovanni and Como Lago stations are about 4 km away.
By Bus: The bus stop is 3 minutes away near the lake and gets you to Como centre in 7-10 minutes. You can ‘tap in’ with you payment card when on the bus alternatively you can purchase tickets can be bought at the Petrol/Gas service station near the bus stop or any Tobacconist. Take the #6 or #11 to Como Centre. Note the C10 which you can get from Como San Giovanni to Tavernola/Cernobbio does not pick passengers up from this bus stop.
By Boat: The Tavernola ferry stop (very important jetty connecting different towns along the lakes) are close by.
